How to Utilize Proof in Your Research Paper
A research paper is an essay which examines or debates a particular topic. No matter what field of study you are in, your research paper should provide your ideas and be supported by others their opinions and observations. A lawyer studies the opinions of other people to draw comparisons, then applies them to their own case to back up their argument. In the medical field, doctors study and interpret medical facts for patients who can’t communicate what’s wrong to their medical professionals.
Education is a field where this happens frequently. Bahador Bahrami is an associate professor at the University of Toronto. I was privileged to read his research paper. In his critical thinking essay, he uses a technique similar to mine known as a presupposition reversal. His premise is very strong as is his argument. As I said, his starting point is an assumption. It’s a good one. He then demonstrates how his assumption about language can cause issues in his writing. He clearly explains his reasons for using the word “theorizing” in the last paragraph of his argument.

To challenge his argument, I’d like to ask you what your primary idea is. It doesn’t matter what the rest of us think about it if it’s not right. You’ve shown them that your main idea isn’t true and there’s no reason to debate it with them. If it’s true it doesn’t matter what others consider. Simply examine your argument to show it.
There people who disagree, and will claim that there is an important and secondary argument. This is not a major issue to me but it could be addressed in the event that you debate the facts of your argument. I won’t discuss it now. Let me leave the exercise for your brain.
This subject can be challenging and many students abandon it. It doesn’t have be. It is crucial to remember that the aim is to show your argument through logic and evidence. Without a solid argument this is impossible.
What is the best argument? There are two kinds of proof: inductive and deductive. A deductive proof is based solely on facts. Although it might seem simple however, there are many arguments that can be deduced. For example If I say that you shouldn’t buy this car because of the problems that are associated with it and you’re already proving that my main argument is true.
It’s easy to slip down the’slippery slope of proof’, where logic is used to support your argument. You might argue, for instance, that because I said the car was old that it must be true. You’re probably right however the main issue is that you’ve made a claim and that’s all it is. Inductive arguments can be employed. For instance, you could claim that because I told you that you should buy a car because it’s cheaper than a different car brand and it’s true. This argument suggests that if you have direct experiences with cars that are cheaper and brands, you should be able to consider that brand more (since it has proven to be successful for you).
Proper proof is key to making your research paper effective and successful. Make sure that you actually examine your argument until the end. Also, make sure that you support your argument in the conclusion of your essay before letting readers learn any other information from your paragraph. This way, you can ensure that they are aware of the point of your essay – that your proof is valid and solid.
